The Greensboro PoliceDepartment hosted a successful Operation PASS: Back to School Bash andwith additional City staff support, provided backpacks and school supplies to more than 6,000 students in need.We celebrated another wildly successful National Folk Festival. Employees fromall over the City collaborated to put on an event that drewmore than 100,000 people to downtownGreensboro, to experiencemusic and culture – and to have an all around great time. The GreensboroCity Council unanimously approved the newParental Leave policy that provides sixweeks of paid time off for employees when they become the parent of a child. This new policy furthers the City’s goal of being a leader among family friendlyworkplaces by offering parents time to focus on bondingwith their child. T he service and commitment you’ve shown inmeeting the needs of our community drives us to findways to support you and your family. Delivering a comprehensive benefit package that provides quality care is important to the City of Greensboro. T he City’s HumanResources Department recognizes everyone’s benefit needs are different.
