Effective Date

• Insurance is effective the first day of the month following the first full month of employment.

The City’s medical plan is self-funded. This means that you and the City share in covering the cost of the claims and adminstrative expenses - not an insurance company.

• The first day of a pay period upon notification in conjunction with a qualified family status change.

* The City contribution will be pro-rated according to the number of hours scheduled to work and applied as a percentage of the contribution made for full-time health and dental coverage.
